Aeration
Lawn aeration is the process of poking holes in the lawn with specially designed tools in order to remove “plugs” of your soil. The two main reasons for lawn aeration are to reduce thatch and decompact the ground. The process helps water, oxygen and nutrients penetrate to the roots of the grass, creating a fuller lawn.
To determine whether your lawn needs aeration, our qualified technicians use special tools to measure the thickness of thatch and the degree of soil compaction. Lawn aeration is the best environment-friendly way to achieve a thicker lawn. It is recommended that you aerate your lawn in the spring or late summer when the soil is moist and well drained. But remember to leave the “plugs” on your lawn so your soil won’t lose any nutrients.
